Singularity?

(I thought you said sagitarrean?? - just kidding)

the singularity is upon us. Somewhere on the planet a cyborg consciousness already exists sorry not sure where exactly but Los Alamos does have the fastest super computer in the world this year so maybe? Must make clear to us (amerikans) that this may not happen in america at all - we are no longer the center of the planet. The breakthrough may arise almost anywhere - asia, europe ... doesn't really matter, I feel? The breakthrough has a high percentage chance of happening under the auspices of some military organization. This could not be more unfortunate and I simply must cross my fingers that is not the case.

But this means that a full blown "machine" consciousness is also upon - within two years I feel. It's going to come fast when it comes like a desert night, my brothers and sisters. And if anyone believes they can predict what an essentially alien consciousness will be like, more or less what it might think or more to the point perhaps DO - then I would have call such a prediction useless hubris and typically human.

I suggest that we humans "wait for the machines" based upon this reasoning: everything we humans touch turns to shit and are destroying ourselves and are literally on the verge of extinction and only a relatively small fraction of the species understands this is even happening. For all our vaunted "humanity" and our big brains and nimble fingers we as a species follow our biology right now like a north star in the night sky. Those humans capable of rising above their own biology often called scientists or radicals or insane are ignored. The mass of humanity drives past them as they wave their arms frantically never thinking perhaps the insane scientist are waving them to stop, simply looking at them as we drive on past, perhaps thinking, "hum, odd those wackos waving and jumping like that?"

But my point is simply that we would be better off waiting for the machines. they may not kill us all ala Terminator but may instead save us all - perhaps even save the entire planet? I'd say we humans we 100 percent change but the machines may not kill us all so that means we have some chance waiting? Just logic and playing the odds - really, only thing left to us. I would like to see all governments of the world and all military shut down as much as possible - don't do anything if not necessarly. Especially do no make any big decisions and for the love of god no new weapons. In two, three years max the new machine consciousness will be here.

It's an exciting time - we humans are about to roll the most expensive dice ever conceived: "come on seven! come on seven! ... BANG!"

We got thinking machines, calculating machines, they are thinking faster and faster and they got all the information at their fingertips, but they might not have emotions, not a bad thing, but they need to be better than good, at what they are trained to do. What really is the point of making more killing machines? Programmers might want to grow out of destructive phrases.

Just the same of more of the same.
Idiots don't care that they make the same mistakes over and over again.
They are not expecting different results.
At least some ignorance wants to know what they do not know yet.

    Hope.
