Google is going to unveil it's grid/distributed computing application very soon. They're calling it "Google Compute"
The first project they are benefiting is "Folding@home"
Basically a SETI program to donate unused computing power to the computing of the protein folding problem.

Wed, January 4, 2006 - 10:02 AMWhere'd you see they're doing Folding@Home
And doesn't Folding@Home seem a little pointless when we have BlueGene/L and will soon have BlueGene/P (clocking in at 1 PetaFLOPS)?
